Sharaya J may not have won the battle but she’s clearly winning the war.
The world was introduced to Sharaya when she competed this summer on Fox’s The Four. A singing show that ends with the winner walking away with a career guidedby the show’s judges, Diddy, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor. Plus, a spot in iHeartMedia’sOn The Verge development program which comes with airplay across iHeartMedia radio stations.
On the show, Sharaya consistently fought and succeeded to bring her energetic and captivating personality into her on stage performance. However, off stage she was fighting for her life as she was battling stage 2breast cancer.
From the start Sharaya was a crowd favorite. Not just because of her circumstances but because of her undeniable talent.
Sharaya made it to the finals of The Four but didn’t win the competition.
JaGurl TV caught up with Sharaya at the BET Hip Hop Awards and she shared with us what’s now in store for her future.
Sharaya informed us that though she is not signed to another record label she has received distribution for her own label entitled Banji Entertainment.
Soon we should be expecting her to drop the video for her song Say Lesswhich she performed on a finale episode of The Four.
At the top of November, Sharaya will be releasing shots of a cover shoot she recently did and a song that she’s featured on. Though she wouldn’t name the artist or artists she’s collabing with it’s probably safe to say that the track will be fire.
