Queen Naija has put in the work and plans to make the year hers, from back in 2018 when she released her first single ‘Medicine’ which hit number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now boasts nearly 180 million views, to releasing a new album here in 2020!
On October 29 2020, Queen hosted a private listening party in Atlanta for her new album, ‘Missunderstood’. She described the time in her life where negative energy from others was at a high, but she didn’t let that stop her. “I know how to make something meant to break me and turn it into something that will BUILD me.”
The theme was 90’s R&B, there for guests were strongly encouraged to come in their best 90’s attire. There were stations such as photo booths, a gift bag station, props were provided from her album theme for guests to make gifs. Food was provided and even an open bar!
Prevalent names in the industry came out to show support, such as Young M.A, B.Simone, Mike Will Made It, Pretty Vee, Karen Civil and more!
Towards the end, Queen thanked everyone around her and expresses her journey to where she is now. People would say that she’s “fallen off”, but she says “Here I am, 2 years later with my debut album.”
Congratulations to Queen Naija on this new release, ‘Missunderstood’ is now available to stream on all streaming platforms!
