Looks like Serena Williams and Meghan Markle have an even tighter bond following both of their marriages.
The two reportedly met in 2010 and have maintained a close friendship ever since.
In a recent interview with Australian TV’s The Saturday Project Williams said, “We have known each other for a long time, but we really kind of are relying on each other a lot recently.”
Williams has been in the media following her controversial loss at the U.S. Open where she received several violations and was accused of cheating.
Markle has been making headlines due to her father’s reckless actions with the media.
As a result of both women experiencing public scrutiny they are leaning on each other for support now more than ever.
“We were actually just texting each other this morning,” Williams said during the interview.
It’s great to see these two women in high positions with a friendship that is there through the highs and lows of their career.
