UCLA gymnast Margzetta Frazier performed her new routine set to some of Janet Jackson‘s biggest hits Friday and shortly after going viral, received a surprise Facetime call from the legendary artist praising her for performance.
“Thank you for sharing your talent, it’s so beautiful to see you tumble. Really inspiring. It just inspired me to want to do more, do better, and be stronger. I absolutely loved it.” Jackson said to Frazier during their FaceTime Call. And a tearful Frazier thanked the music icon saying “Thank you so much, that means everything to me cause you loved it.” Watch below.
The two also discussed meeting in person next time Jackson is in Los Angeles to chat and potentially teach Jackson how to fumble and flip.
“Keep doing it, because you’re doing an incredible job. and good luck!” Jackson told Fraizer before ending the call.
In response to Jackson’s tweet, Frazier said “I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKE IT!!! YOU ARE WHY I LOVE TO DANCE.”
According to PEOPLE, Jackson helped Frazier set two new personal bests during a meet against the University of Utah, and after having low-numbers on the bar, Frazier came back with career-high scores.
“She is the reason why I love gymnastics,” Frazier said after the meet, according to The Los Angeles Times. “I really try my best to make it a performance to entertain and that’s because of her.”
