Music icon Sean” Diddy” Combs has teamed up with Salesforce to create and launch Shop Circulate, a marketplace for Black-owned businesses.

The new platform launched on the 100th Anniversary of the 1821 Tulsa Race massacre.

“Building black wealth stars with investing in Black-owned businesses,” Combs said in a statement. “And giving entrepreneurs access to the consumers needed to build sustainable companies that can thrive.”

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff hopes that his partnership with Diddy will help “close the unjust wealth gap.” The racial wealth gap “prevents many Black Americans from achieving economic equality.”

Shop Circulate is described as; “curated digital marketplace that allows consumers to discover and buy products exclusively created by Black entrepreneurs. “

Thus far, Shop Circulate has acquired the Nile List, a digital company connecting consumers with black-owned brands and products. Khadijah Robinson, the Nile List’s founder, has been appointed to head of product for Shop Circulate: in her new role, Robinson will oversee the development and global expansion.

Shop Circulate will launch later this year. The platform will feature an expansive list of black-owned businesses ranging from beauty, hair care, fashion, health, and wellness.
