Eddie Murphy won’t be alone in the upcoming “Coming to America” sequel. His costar, Arsenio Hall, will be joining him on this new chapter. On Monday, the actor tweeted on Twitter confirming that he is apart of this cast.
Mr. Hall played Semmi, he’s the sidekick to Murphy’s Prince Akeem.
Paramount announced in February that the sequel is set to premiere in 2020. There is not much information concerning the new plot for this sequel. According to Deadline, the plot will be “Akeem learns about a long-lost son, and must return to America to meet the unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda.”
CNN reports that this film is untitled but it is scheduled to hit theaters on August 7, 2020.
