In the wake of the Dayton, Ohio mass shooting three weeks ago many celebrities have been stepping up to show their love and support for victims and their families. The latest Celebrity to step up and do some good for the mourning state is Comedian and actor Dave Chappelle.  According to The Hollywood Unlocked, the comedian is set to host a free benefit block party for victims and their families. The Facebook event page states “This event will honor the lives lost and to reclaim the community’s favorite places to shop, dine and enjoy time with family and friends. There will be several ways for attendees to contribute to both The Dayton Foundation’s Oregon District Tragedy Fund and Oregon District Business Association, which is assisting local businesses with recovery.”

The event will be located in the Oregon District of Dayton and is free for Dayton residents only. Supporters and guest can donate $20 to benefit the tragedy fund at Dayton Foundation. Which also comes with a t-shirt. For more details of the event check out the Gem City Shine Facebook page
