American fashion designer Ralph Lauren celebrated with loved ones who gathered to attend the exclusive screening of his life documentary.
The HBO film premiered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Lauren was surrounded by friends and family including Tyson Beckford, Martha Stewart and Vera Wang. Ralph Lauren started his first menswear line, ‘Polo’, in 1968. He stepped down as CEO from his corporation in 2015. Guests gave Lauren a standing ovation when he arrived.
The motion picture, directed by Susan Lacy, incorporates interviews from friends and colleagues who watched the film debut with Lauren on Wednesday night. The film titled, ‘Very Ralph’, highlights his life and work. It will premiere on HBO November 12.
