YouTube entertainer and influencer, Rickey Thompson, has partnered with American Eagle and non-profit organization, Delivering Good. The retail giant is encouraging consumers to give back and has created a holiday collection where 100% of sales will benefit Delivering Good; an organization for brands interested in creating change. The holiday collection will prompt the brands community to donate directly to the non-profit, using a QR code. The idea is to get its audience in the spirit of giving.
Delivering Good’s mission is to unite retailers, manufacturers, foundations, and individuals to provide people impacted by poverty and tragedy with new merchandise, effectively distributed through a network of agency partners to offer hope, dignity, and self-esteem to at-risk children, families and individuals. They serve as the connection between brands and the people who need help most. Rickey Thompson is on board with the giving back effort this holiday season and posted on his social media a photo with the caption, “You know, just me looking CUTE and doing some GOOD!! If I can do it, you can TOO!”
American Eagle is known for both women’s and men’s on-trend clothing and accessories. The brands AExME is one collection of American Eagle that includes its audience to be featured on its social media and website. Their site reads, “This is our collaboration with you-share your story, share your style, share your creativity with #AExME and #AE Jeans.” The AExME has a crew of young advocates and change-makers who created the holiday capsule collection. According to a blog from American Eagle, what matters to them most this holiday season is YOU. In that spirit, they acted against something that happens to 1 in 10 young people in America: homelessness. Those interested in supporting can donate at checkout and online.
