On June 23, 20202, Brando Crawford, founder of Acting for A Cause, has assembled a group of diverse young actors to perform a play reading of the LGBT classic “Hit The Wall”. The goal is to raise money for Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Campaign.
The performance will and feature well known actors from our favorite television shows. The play will star Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why Jan Luis Castellanos, Apple TV’s Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet Imani Hakim, and BET’s American Soul Travis Bryant. Other participants include, FX’s Pose Angel B. Curiel, AMC’s Dispatches from Elsewhere Eve Lindley, Chicago Fire Daniel Kyri, Fox Searchlight’s Love Simon Clark Moore, Janiece Dilone and Ryan Jamaal Swain.
The money raised by the virtual play will go towards raising awareness on self-empowerment and interacting with law enforcement in light of the recent protests in the United States.
