After becoming the youngest poet to recite at an inauguration, 22-year old Amanda Gorman signed a modeling deal with IMG Models. The agency is one of the leading modeling agencies in the world in high traction areas such as New York, London, Milan, and Los Angeles. IMG represents Chanel Iman, Hailey Bieber, and Jourdan Dunn.
Gorman told Teen Vogue “Change is occurring in the fashion industry, and it’s a shift that each of us can advocate for across all brands.“
The deal emphasizes Gorman’s initiative to reach the fashion and beauty industry on a global scale. According to the Hollywood Reporter, IMG will help Gorman with editorial endorsements, meaning she will be leading a lot more campaigns in the future and be the creative voice.
Just last week, Gorman was reciting her original poem “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration and this week she signs a deal with one of the top agencies. Congratulations!
