Anwuli Eyewear, the innovative eyewear brand known for its bold and stylish frames, is excited to announce the launch of The Royal Evolution collection. This is the second upscale eyewear line from Dr. Nwamaka Ngoddy, an optometrist, first-generation Nigerian American, and passionate advocate for diversity and individuality. This new release continues the brand’s mission to provide premium eyewear that accommodates the unique features of all face shapes and sizes, allowing wearers to make a statement without saying a word.

Dr. Ngoddy, a native Atlantan, founded Anwuli Eyewear with a vision to create glasses that truly fit and flatter a diverse range of facial structures. Her inspiration stemmed from her personal struggles as a nearsighted child with high cheekbones who could never find eyewear that fit properly. In her optometric practice, primarily serving African American patients, Dr. Ngoddy discovered common challenges when fitting glasses: overly small eye sizes, poorly fitting bridges for wider noses, and temples that were too short, causing glasses to slip. These insights led her to create the Royal Collection.

“When I started Anwuli I wanted to start it to design frame specifically with black facial features in mind. The mission has now evolved” Dr. Ngoddy exclusively tells JaGurl TV. “We don’t want to just design (pieces) that fit, we want to design pieces that pop. Pieces that make a statement with speaking; but also fit well.”

With The Royal Evolution, Dr. Ngoddy takes her vision further, blending culture, uniqueness, and craftsmanship into a collection of upscale eyewear. The new styles feature high-grade acetates, ensuring durability and eye-catching color combinations, while titanium metal frames offer comfort, sustainability, and superior craftsmanship. The latest collection also expands to include more masculine styles, responding to customer feedback and broadening the brand’s appeal.
