The internet went in a frenzy after Jada Pinkett-Smith sat down for another episode for Red Table Talk with her husband Will Smith. During the episode, the couple talked about a past relationships that Jada had with R&B singer, August Alsina, during a relationship break with Mr. Smith.
The news of the relationship was revealed during an interview with Breakfast Club radio co-host, Angela Yee, after a long career hiatus. “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation,” Alsina said during the interview. “Due to the transformation from their marriage to (a) life partnership that they have spoken on several times, and not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing.”
Jada’s Red Table Talk episode was in response to some of the allegations made during the interview. Unaware of the power of the internet, Jada used the word “entanglement” during a statement.
“We were over,” she says. “From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.” Will then presses her, saying “An entanglement? A relationship.” She countered, “I was in a lot of pain and I was very broken.”
A few days later we were sent a song by Alsina and Rick Ross identicallytitled Entanglements.
The lyrics of song is a word play on “entanglement” while detailing Alsina’s previous relationship with Jada. “Entanglements, is when you tangled in them sheets, Entanglements, is when you’re tangled up with me, Entanglements (The number one’s here, it’s the Biggest), is when you’re gettin’ in too deep, Tangled up with me (Huh), tang—, tangled in them sheets (Yes)” the lyrics read.
