BET Awards dominates the award show arena leading as the highest cable award show to date.
The live award show hosted by award-winning actress Taraji P Henson premiered on Sunday, June 27th. The 3 1/2 hour-long show raised the bar in celebrating black excellence. Through music, performances, creativity, the award show drew 2.4 mm, total viewers.
The ceremony was simulcast live on the following networks; BET Her, MTV, MTV2, Logo, TV Land, and VH1. 1.7 mm viewers came from BET alone.
For over eight hours BET related contented streamed on several channels. The content included “The Countdown to BET Awards” and “DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic: BET Awards Edition.”
The show was packed with exhilarating moments and jaw-dropping performances, which secured the show as the #1 most social show on TV.
This years extraordinary show also had the highest number of musical performances.
