2020 was definitely a rollercoaster for some of us, so we’re hoping 2021 brings on fresh beginnings. Of course we can’t go into the New Year without reflecting on 2020 and Beyoncé does just that.
In the four-minute IGTV clip on New Years Day, Beyoncé revisits the struggles of 2020, including the global pandemic ‘COVID-19’ and how important it is to vote in the presidential election. There were also moments of celebrating the success of her ‘Black Is King‘ film on Disney+ and her brand ‘Ivy Park‘.
The video was centered around her overall involvement in the community throughout this whole Pandemic.
“Cheers to a New Year Beyhive!! 2020 divided us and united us. Most could not see loved ones and we felt too many losses, but we were united by our humanity,” Beyoncé captioned the video. “This year for me has been about celebrating joy, chasing happiness, and living in love.”
The clip is sound tracked by her 2020 hits, including the “Savage” remix with Megan Thee Stallion, and also never before seen footage of Blue Ivy and the twins Rumi and Sir Carter.
