Music legend, Beyoncé, is blessing her fans with another treat at the end of July. Beyoncé, who is known for her creative visuals, dropped the first full trailer for her upcoming visual album Black Is King.
In June, she was offered an $80 million deal by Disney. The deal included three new projects, including Black Panther 2. At the time, the two other projects were unclear and negotiations are still ongoing. Now it seems like Disney and the GRAMMY winning artists came to an agreement about what direction they would like to go in.
According to Deadline, Black Is King is based on the music of Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift, and premieres around the one-year anniversary of the theatrical release of Disney’s The Lion King. The film “reimagines the lessons from the 2019 film.”
The trailer is narrated by Beyoncé, and includes features from her husband Jay-Z, Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and more.
Black Is King will be released in full July 31 on Disney+.
