Rapper Big Sean makes his way to the top of the Billboard charts for his long anticipated album, Detroit 2, which debuted September 4th. The project landed him a spot at #1 across the board on the billboard 200 R&B/hip hop and Rap charts.

Sean is no stranger to receiving his wins & recognition. Detroit 2 stamps Sean’s fifth consecutive #1 debut on the rap chart, his fourth consecutive #1 debut on the R&B/hip hop chart and third consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Sean warmed up his fans by releasing sneak peaks of tracks with videos for “Deep Reverence” featuring Nipsey Hussle, “Body Language” featuring Ty Dolla Sign & Jhene Aiko and “Don Life” featuring Lil Wayne. Just four nights after the video premiere of “Lithunia,” Sean performed “Harder Than My Demons” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Sean’s extensive record of multi-platinum hit singles, with three #1 urban radio staples such as Kanye West’s 4x-platinum “Mercy” featuring fellow Def Jam’s Pusha T and 2 Chainz (over 2 million views), “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay featuring West and Roscoe Dash (45 million combined YouTube views) and lastly, the unforgettable 5x platinum single “I Don’t F—- With You” featuring E-40 with just about 400 million views.

Big Sean continues to stay persistent with his music career, with accumulating over 43 million followers in total when combining all social media outlets such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Sound cloud. Since signing to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam label back in 2007, Sean has gained over 1.7 billion YouTube views.
