This is not Cardi’s first historic win with “Bodak Yellow.” Back in 2017, shortly after its release, the hit single hit No. 1 on the Hot 100, adding Cardi’s name to the shortlist of females rappers to reach that No. 1 spot. The rapper held the spot for 3 weeks.
The 28-year-old found out the news last night and quickly took to social media to tease the announcement and thank her fans.
