Chance the Rapper is changing the game. The Grammy-winning musician is set release a concert film exclusively in AMC theaters this summer.

Magnificent Coloring World is the fifth anniversary of Coloring Book, a landmark mixtape that saw Chance become the first independent artist to win a Grammy in the categories Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album.

This marks the first time a recording artist will distribute a movie through AMC.

AMC is the largest theatrical exhibitor in the United States, and Chance is self-distributing the film through his House of Kicks umbrella. Chance uses House of Kicks to create an artistic pod where he is reimagining music, film and virtual experiences

“Chance’s love and respect for the cinemas made this partnership a no-brainer and we couldn’t be happier to bring his vision to the big screen, ” says Adam Aron, CEO and President of AMC Theatres. “We are so excited to have fans see Chance’s truly unique take on a concert film should sound and look like.”

Chance The Rapper himself seems to be pretty excited and ready to get the ball rolling. “Seeing movies together on the big screen is an essential part of summertime and something I deeply missed over the last year, so I am extremely excited and honored to partner with AMC to safely bring fans back to the theater,” says Chance The Rapper.

Tickets for ‘Magnificent Coloring Word’ are going on sale at box office only, Wednesday, May 12th at 6PM and the advance screenings are from May 14– 16 at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago Illinois.
