We all know that Ciara is currently couple goals with her amazing husband Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. But, Ciara did not always endure happy times when it came to relationships. Her previous relationship was with Rapper Future, and the couple gave birth to a son Future Zahir Jr., Who is 5 years old now.
Ciara was featured on the Multigenerational show “Red Table Talk” as she opened up about her experiences. Ciara told the hosts (Jada Pinkett-Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banifield-Jones)
“I’d have moments when I would be in the shower, I’d be crying. I had a few different settings — crying in the bedroom, crying in the shower … crying because I’m not in the happiest place, and it hurts what I’m going through.” At one point Ciara felt like she had failed at the ideal family dream. “I grew up with my mom and dad being together, the idea of it being, ‘Mommy and Daddy made baby,’ then all of a sudden you’re living your life in front of the world. That adds a whole ‘nother layer. ‘I feel like I’m failing right now. Other people, they’re gonna roast me. Here they come in the comment section. I’m about to get fried.’”
Ciara realized that happiness triumphs over idealism. She decided to move on from Future because “the worst scenario to stay in a situation that’s just not healthy, that’s not gonna get any better.”
When the Press asked Future about the split he once said “I’m just not going to settle for anything, you know? Even in my life now, I know I can be a better person. I ain’t giving up on myself, so if you give up on me, I ain’t got nothing else to say for you. Because if you give up on something that’s real, it wasn’t real to you.”
Happy Endings really do come true, Ciara married her Russell Wilson in 2016 and now they share a daughter named Sierra. Even with their blended family, there is so much love being shown. Even though Ciara may not have gotten her ideal dream, she got something even better. A loving happy family.
