Social activist and former NFL player Colin Kaepernick teams up with Nike to create his limited-edition “Icon Jersey.” According to Yahoo Sports, the jersey resembles a close look to the #IMWITHKAP jerseys that were a great success and the proceeds went to a purposeful cause, the Know Your Rights campaign. The Know Your Rights Camp is a free campaign with the goal of building a stronger generation of people that will create the change that is much needed in this world, according to the site.
Colin has history with Nike as he was the face of the company’s “Just do it” campaign back in September. His new jersey is available for purchase on Nike’s website and lists sizes S-3XL for $150. It looks as though sizes M-XL are currently unavailable since the launch on Wednesday.
“The jersey marks nike’s continued product collaboration with Colin,” a Nike spokesperson tells The Undefeated.
He took to Instagram to showcase his jersey with young people as the models. The caption also included his coined phrase ‘#TrueTo7’:
Colin has been able to create and maintain his image as an activist for what he believes in, despite not being picked up by an NFL team.
