Delta is Partnering with Lyft

Need a ride from the airport? Customers who fly with Delta can now make the commute from the airport to their final destination a bit more seamlessly. The award winning airline is working with rideshare company Lyft to reward Skymiles members with a new loyalty program. Now riders who use Lyft can earn flight miles for every U.S. ride.

The Delta SkyMiles program was named Best Travel Rewards Program by U.S. News & World Report for 2019-2020. “We’re thinking about our customers’ whole travel experience and it’s important that Delta customers are taken care of not just in the air, but on the ground,” said Sandeep Dube, Delta’s Vice President – Customer Engagement & Loyalty.

With the new membership program, new Lyft users can get a $20 ride credit, current users receive 1 mile per $1 on every U.S. ride, and for a limited time, can earn 2 miles per $1 on all rides to and from the airport. To qualify, a SkyMiles member must register for the offer by entering their SkyMiles membership number to link their Lyft account on deltalyft.com

There are even special promotions that include rides taken on game day to or from the Seattle Seahawks games. This is one of several of the latest partnerships for Delta. In 2016, Delta and Air BNB partnered to create a ground breaking partnership offering SkyMiles members the chance to earn miles for hosting or staying as a guest in Air BNB residences. SkyMiles member points never expire and the miles earned through this program can be used at over 1,000 destinations worldwide.
