According to People Magazine, Demi Lovato’s mother Dianna De Le Garza has decided to speak on the tragic day that her daughter had allegedly overdosed. Dianna said she first heard of the incident from Kelsey Kershner Demi’s then-assistant. “She said, ‘Demi Overdosed’” said Dianna in a recent interview with NewsMax TV on Tuesday. “I was in shock. I didn’t know what to say. It was just something that I never, ever expected to hear as a parent, about any of my kids. And I hesitated to ask, but I had to ask her — I remember it just seemed like the words took forever to come out of my mouth. I said, ‘Is she okay?’”
Dianna later found out that her daughter was unconscious and not speaking after being brought to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dianna and her eldest daughter then rushed to Cedars-Sinai to be with Demi in her time of need. “She was in bad shape but I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here; I love you.’ And at that point she said, ‘I love you too.’ So from that point on I never allowed myself to think that things.” Let’s all continue to keep Demi Lovato in our prayers.
