Former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick, posted a video on twitter showing him working out to let the world know that he’s ready to hop back on the field. A lot of fans are probably excited about the ideas of Kaepernick running on the football field again, and apparently so was Donald Trump, well kind of.
In 2016, Donald Trump referred to Kaepernick’s actions as “unpatriotic”, as the NFL player kneeled during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racism. According to CNN. Trump also called on the league to take punitive measures against Kaepernick. Well now that Colin has been showing that he is ready to play on the field, Trump had some things to say.
Trump stated to the reporters at the White House, “Frankly, I’d love to see Kaepernick come in — if he’s good enough … but I don’t want to see him come in because somebody think it’s a good PR move. If he’s good enough, he will be in.”
Was that shade, or nah? What do you think of Trump’s statement about Colin’s future in the NFL?
