If you happen to drive by an IKEA store and see a very long line, it isn’t because of a holiday sale. Virgil Abloh, African American designer and artistic director of Louis Vuitton‘s men’s wear, has entered into a collaboration with the furniture retailer IKEA, and fans of his work are lined up to get a piece from the collection. Abloh is the CEO and founder of ‘Off-White’, a Milan based fashion label.
Abloh is known for his streetwear designs and created ‘Off-White’, a high end street wear fashion house in 2012. It is recognized by its use of quotations marks and barricade tape throughout different items.

Even the IKEA stores have added quotation marks to their signage on buildings to promote the collaboration. Items range from simple dining room table and chairs to the unique floor rug designed like an IKEA receipt.
Customers were limited to only one piece of each item in the Markerad Collection and waited in long lines because they were not available for purchase online.
