Ludacris previously hinted that the Fast and Furious franchise is entering space for its next movie, but Michelle Rodriguez confirmed it.
In an interview, SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show asked the franchise star if she was joining Luda in his trip to space. And her response all but confirms that F9 will be in space!
“Oh, no way. How did you guys find that out?” asks the actress. “See what happens? People start talking behind the scenes, man. When a movie doesn’t come out and forget about it, things get out. Nobody was supposed to know that!”
It seems like Letty will not be joining the space adventure. But there has been a new addition to the writer’s room, a woman writer who has given the female characters in the movie more depth.
“I’m not lucky enough to hit space,” says Rodriguez. “but we did get a female writer and showed a lot of love, I think, on this one. Thanks to [director] Justin Lin. We were able to find a little bit more attention and love for the girls in the movie. And so I’m really hopeful that that shows through in the final product.”
