GRAMMY Award Winning Producer JWhiteDidit is known for working with artists like Cardi B, and Iggy Azalea. Songs produced by JWhiteDidit include “Bodak Yellow”, and “I Like It”, both nominated for a GRAMMY earlier this year. Now he can add another female artist to his list, and that is Houston hottie, Megan The Stallion. A video of Megan and JWhiteDidit in the studio surfaced late September with the hashtag “#morehitsontheway”. The video showed the two jamming to music, and of course…driving the boat!
During an interview on the green carpet at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, JWhiteDidIt mentioned to JaGurl TV that the collaboration happened while Megan was on her Legendary Nights Tour. JWhiteDidIt said, “She was on tour, me and Gucci called her to come in and work. And then she said imma stay and work with you JWhite. So we stayed until 7am in the morning and we got some songs done!”
With the rap industry being such a male dominated industry, female rappers are always being compared. With JWhiteDidIt working with two of hip hops biggest names, how does he assure that the sound is different and unique. “I treat it like, you know, I’m a doctor. Each person have their own type of medicine…their own prescription. And Megan got her own thing. So what me and Megan done ain’t nothing like what me an Cardi B. den’ done.”
Naturally, JWhiteDidIt says Megan gives off her own vibe and goes hard when it comes to her work. Congratulations to JWhiteDidIt for his nominations at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards for his collaboration with Cardi B. on her single “MONEY”.
