Stockton, CA’s own, Haiti Babii, newly signed with Jeezy’s CTE imprint and Def Jam Recordings has trailblazed his own West Coast sound through the industry. His newly released mixtape, “Nuthin 2 Krazy” holds eight, high-energy tracks, filled with major personality, catchy hooks, and humor. Haiti Babii offers a fresh sound to the West Coast hip hop we have all learned to love, whether from the top corners of Seattle or the ends of Florida.
He has received head nods from Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, Meek Mill, and more. About his signing, Jeezy commented, “I’ve been watching Haiti Babii for a long time. He’s got his own sound, which is such a rarity. When you find an artist like that who has a vision and a movement, you don’t sleep on it. The whole game is about to wake up to Haiti. I couldn’t think of a better way to re-up with my Def Jam family than this project. It’s just the beginning.”
Haiti Babii held a meet and greet in Atlanta, GA where he talked about how he grew up amongst violence in the street politics of Stockton; however, learned through music where his true passion lies. He relies heavily on his family for support; acknowledging his mother and brother as his support system. Haiti Babii also takes pride in being a great father to his daughter, offering her the world.
