Jada Karen Pinkett Smith is an American actress, screenwriter, singer, producer, and talk show host. Many fans know her from roles in the early 90’s Cosby Show spinoff, A Different World, or the crime heist film, Set It Off. Also, in 2018 Jada became the cohost for Facebook Watch‘s social media talk show, Red Table Talk, for which she won a daytime Emmy Award and was thus named one of the 100 Most Influential People In The World by Time. The Red Table Talk show returns, premiering this April with a few new twists.

After a brief seasonal hiatus from the talk show, Jada is back at the Red Table. Many fans and interested parties present their dead set intention at wanting her to speak on ‘The Slap‘ between her husband Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock at the latest Academy Awards ceremony. However, Jada has remained quiet on the topic and doesn’t intend to divulge its content during her latest hosting run.

The show’s flow will present multi-generational talking points on relevant societal aspects between Jada, her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and Jada’s daughter, Willow Smith. In addition, a few surprise twists slated for the current season will include the primary hosts being comprised of the offspring Smith trilogy, Willow Smith, and brothers Jaden Smith and, for the first time Trey Smith

The trio will host the new season’s premiere episode as they introduce multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Janelle Monae and her mother, Janet Hawthorne. In their segment with Monae, they will discuss her being an LGBTQ+ advocate, her identity, and coming out story and childhood.

You can grab your seat at the table for the newest season of Red Table Talk weekly, beginning April 20 at noon ET on Facebook Watch.
