Janice Bryant Howroyd is a key game changer in the international management and technology work space leading a multibillion-dollar enterprise. As the CEO of ActOne Group Janice Bryant Howroyd provides commonsense wisdom and real-world guidance in her businesses. She spoke this past weekend at the International Leadership Summit during the Master Class “Vision Building” session alongside Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Howroyd is the first Black woman to build and own a billion dollar company, and she as her upbringing to thank. “Some of my greatest lessons of my life in business came from my mom and dad, in my own home,” Howroyd exclusively tells JaGurl TV, “things that I bring into the board room where taught to me in my bed room growing up.”
Being named one of the richest self-made women in the world according to Forbes magazine, one would wonder how does she stay grounded through it all. “Sometimes we’re so busy doing our affirmations, we don’t give ourselves the quite space to receive our affirmations.” She continued, “For me, quite is very important because the world is real noisy right now. It’s not just about what you say to yourself, its about the time you allow yourself to say nothing and listen.”
