The Lakewood Easter service will be hosted by Pastor Joel Osteen and will be virtually streamed on April 12, 2020. The “Hope is Alive” Easter service will have special guest that will include Kanye West, Mariah Carey, and Tyler Perry.
One celebrity who is not new to Osteen’s service is Kanye West. He last brought his own Sunday service to the Lakewood church back in November 2019. He is making a return with his choir once again for this year’s Easter service.
Due to the developing Covid-19 pandemic, all guest will join the service remotely. The celebrities are expected to encourage everybody who is going through difficulties during this pandemic. Mariah Carey is reported to be dedicating her song “Hero” to all those who are in the front line of Covid-19 fight, which includes first responders, all healthcare professionals, and essential workers. Tyler Perry will offer words of encouragement & Kanye West will provide music for the Sunday service with his choir.
