Kanye West’s Yeezy Brand Creates A Tribute Tee in Honor of the Late DMX

This weekend we honored the life of Ruff Rider DMX. Earlier this month we heard the tragic news of him passing away at the age of 50 due to a serious heart attack. All though sudden, friends and family needed to honor his legacy in the right way.

The memorial service was held on Saturday May 24 at the infamous Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. An by all accounts, it was truest a show stopping event. DMX was transported in a red casket on a monster truck, floral arrangements decorated the whole of the Barclays Center, and Kanye West showed up with his Sunday service choir for a special song. Along with the performance, West designed a shirt with his YEEZY label and Demna Fvasalia’s Balenciaga.

According to HypeBeast, The retro-style long sleeve tee features an original DMX screen-printed portrait artwork on the front with “12.18.1970” printed on the right sleeve, “04.09.2021” printed on the left sleeve and “IN LOVING MEMORY” at the rear. The heavyweight cotton, oversized fit tee is treated with a vintage wash for a worn-in faded black look and feel. This design is to honor DMX in the most influential way. Right now the tribute tee is priced at $200 USD and is available for purchase with all proceeds going towards the late rapper’s family.
