This holiday season, GRAMMY-nominated rapper Lil Baby hosted a coat giveaway to give back to residents of Atlanta.
Late November, the rapper announced that he will donate $1.5 million for his hit single “Bigger Picture” to families in need.

On Wednesday (December 23rd), the rapper hosted the “Warm Winter Wishes Coat Giveaway,” at the West End MARTA station. The rapper partnered with Atlanta City Council and MARTA for the giveaway.
In order to attend families were required to preregister. Due to covid restrictions, the event used a drive-thru/walk-up system to distribute coats to families.
“We need to do it at a MARTA station so people can ride in and get the support, versus having to drive or always find a ride,” the City Council member Andre Dickens tell 11 Alive. “A lot of people are walking up on trains. And they’re getting coats right before it gets cold.”
The City Council praises the rapper for his dedication to the Atlanta community.
“MARTA is just so grateful to be able to partner with the city and Lil Baby to make sure that the people who live in this community are staying warm during this cold season,” MARTA CEO Jeffrey Parker said.
Earlier this month, CEO Goodr Jasmine Crowe announced the rapper’s pledge to host giveaways in nine other cities in a series of tweets.
He’s been doing a lot behind the scenes already but he’s officially kicking it off with a great partner in @MARTASERVICE at the WestEnd station next week providing 2,000 coats to Atlanta kids and families.
This makes the first stop of his 10 city Warm Winter Wishes giveaway.

One of the best things Lil Baby said to me was he wants to go to the communities most in need in every city. He’s been on the Zoom calls and he is very committed to his giving. That’s amazing to see; can’t wait to see all that he does to impact lives! https://t.co/FteKP4586X.
