Lil Baby tells his rags to riches story in a new documentary. Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby details the “Drip Too Hard” artist’s childhood in Atlanta to Grammy performances. The premiere screening of the Amazon Prime documentary took place last Friday.
Through a series of unforeseen footage and interviews including Young Thug and Drake viewers are taken through the life of the Grammy award-winning artist from his days in West Atlanta to being an award-winning rap artist. The documentary screened at the Regal Atlanta Station welcomed guests like Reginae Carter, Jacob Lattimore, and Omeretta The Great to view its release.
Head of Global DEI at Amazon Studios, Prime Video and IMDb, Latasha Gillepsie, gave opening remarks. Lil Baby, director Karam Gill, producer Pierre ‘P’ Thomas, producer Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee, CEO of Motown Records Ethiopia Habtemariam, and Stacey Abrams were present for the screening event. Following the documentary, an afterparty to celebrate was held at Bowlero Lanes.
