Miles Parks McCollum is professionally known via his stage name, Lil Yachty. He is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. Yachty grew into his notoriety in 2015 with the internet success of his debut EP, Summer Songs. Along with his ties to his hometown Atlanta, GA, the rapper carries out a collaborative and equally surprising homage to his roots in partnership with McDonald’s.
The now world-famous megastar, Lil Yachty, is collaborating with McDonald’s as they kick off the brand’s latest ‘Thank You Crew’ initiative. “I just want to send big appreciation to all the crew workers. I once worked at McDonald’s, so I know what it is like working in that field,” states Yachty. The drive behind this latest enterprise is to allow the McDonald’s crew to be and feel celebrated by their customers. This is done as the company encourages the customers to share their positive stories and experiences of their interactions with the crew.
Yachty started off the festivities today in a local Atlanta McDonald’s as he engaged the crew and his nostalgia, preparing a McChicken in the kitchen. “I learned a lot working at McDonald’s before my music career took off, and this visit brought those memories right back,” Yachty says as he prepares the sandwich. “I promise y’all I used to do this. I’m a little rusty, but I got the things on there.”
The hometown rapper concludes his visit with sincere regard for the crew’s honest work for their community. “I give huge credit to all the McDonald’s crew showing up and working hard every day. They deserve big things, real celebrations, and I’m here for that.”
