The Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey‘s hit song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You” has returned to the Billboard Hot 100, setting a record for the most-streamed holiday single of all time.
The holiday classic was released on Carey’s Christmas album Merry Christmas in 1994. For the second year in a row, the single has returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Since its release, the song has remained a number one hit every holiday season. This year marks the fourth decade that the single has hit number one, making it the first song in history to ever do that.
Carey took to twitter to express her excitement and gratitude.
“WOW! I truly wasn’t expecting this at all,” Carey tweets. “Eternally grateful for the enduring success of this song. ‘I don’t want a lot for Christmas…’ just wishing for a bit more JOY and some holiday spirit for all, especially this year.”
Recently, Carey joined with fellow artists Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson for a holiday special, Mariah Cary’s Magical Christmas. The special also included rapper Snoop Dog, 2021 GRAMMY nominee Tiffany Haddish, ballerina Misty Copeland and many more!
It’s no doubt the holiday classic has become a Christmas emblem. Listen to the iconic jingle below.
