Michelle Obama Shares Her Spotify Playlist Inspired by #BlackGirlMagic

Last Friday, Michelle Obama presented via twitter a Spotify playlist inspired by her podcast, The Michelle Obama Podcast, “filled with incredible new artists and a whole lot of #BlackGirlMagic.”

The former first lady’s playlist titled “Michelle Obama’s Playlist” features 41 songs with an array of Black female artists such as Beyonce, Chole x Halle, Teyana Taylor, and Ari Lennox.

Currently, the Michelle Obama’s Playlist is available to stream on Spotify.

Artists took to twitter to express their gratitude in the being featured in Obama’s playlist.

Girl group CholexHalle reshared the post by Obama replying “Thank You”.

Singer Teyana Taylor reshared the post, commenting “I love me some you!!!!!!”

This is not the first time Obama has used music to connect to the public. Early this year, Obama shared her workout playlist which included songs from Lizzo, Jlo, and Arianna Grande.

The first episode of The Michelle Obama Podcast aired July 29th featuring her husband, former President Barack Obama.

The nine-episode series will air every Wednesday. According to USAToday, Michelle Obama’s expects to use her podcast “to hold candid and personal conversations focusing on a variety of topics concerning women’s health, marriage, and the benefits of mentorship.”
