Netflix releases a new trailer for Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist, which highlights the Black Panther star’s legacy.
The star-studded special gives an intimate look into Chadwick Boseman‘s career through interviews with co-stars and directors that Boseman has worked with. This includes interviews with Da 5 Bloods director Spike Lee, Black Panther co-star Danai Gurira, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom co-star Viola Davis. Boseman opens the special with a voiceover discussing his acting, “People call me an actor. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself an actor. I call myself an artist.”
“You know you have to step up when you’re in his presence,” Davis says in the trailer. “He’s looking at your work and he’s like, really hyper focused on the craft, on the process. That’s Chad.”
Netflix’s Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist will be available for streaming on Saturday, April 17th.
