New York gives $3.5 Million to help build Hip-Hop Museum

Recently, news has been released that New York will be getting a Hip Hop Museum! Located in the Bronx, the museum will be near the Yankee Stadium at 65 east 149 street. The empty space that appears now will soon be the Universal Hip Hop Museum for tourists to come and receive some music history. The project is receiving lots of support from different big time moguls. Curtis Blow (Hip-Hop Pioneer) will serve as the chairman of the board. Also, Rocky Bucano, will be the executive director of the project.

When asked what is the vision for the museum, Curtis Blow explained that they wanted to tell the history of hip hop using modern day technology. He went on to say that they want avatars, holograms, and have some interactions with the kids. Bucano mentioned that the museum will be what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame did for Cleveland.

According to VladTV, the museum has received a donation from the state of New York for 3.5 million dollars!

The project is set to be open in 2023, which will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop.
