NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell is now receiving backlash for his comments on why Colin Kaepernick has still not been signed back into the NFL.

During his “State of the League” address Wednesday, Goodell received plenty of questions involving the league and its current stance with Kaepernick and his National anthem protest including why the Quarterback is not currently playing in the league, to which he replied, “Every club’s got to make those decisions.”

When further questioned about whether or not Kaepernick was being blackballed the commissioner responded by imply that the teams have not signed him because he does not have what they need for their particular teams at the moment.

To no one’s surprise since making the comments the commissioner has received nonstop backlash from those on social media and elsewhere, who are convinced that Kaepernickis being unfairly punished for his protest against inequality and police brutality.

Kaepernick, who started his protest at the beginning of last football season while he played for the San Francisco 49ers, has now been a free agent since March and recently has filled a collusion grievance against NFL owners.

Since Goodells comments, the lawyer for Kaepernick, MarkGeragos has called BS on the claims that Kaepernick hasn’t been signed for any reason other than them blackballing him due to his protest stating, “The whole thing is basically a ruse.”
