Cardi B’s tweet about a potential citizenship in Nigeria has caught the eye of one of their top government officials. Following Black Twitter jokes about World War lll beginning, the 27 year old rapper, went to Twitter to reveal that she would be filing her citizenship in Nigeria. She tweeted , “Naaaaa these memes are f***** [crying emojis] but s*** ain’t no joke ! Specially being from New York .Its sad this man is putting Americans live in danger.Dumbest move Trump did till date …I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship.”
The chairman of Nigeria’s diaspora commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, saw Cardi’s tweeted and invited her back to Nigeria. “@iamcardib As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can’t wait to receive you again. Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry . It’s an indescribable experience.”
President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal assistant, Bashir Ahmad jokingly made remarks to Nigeria being better than Ghana.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ artist performed in Africa on December 7th at the Livespot X Festival. During her down time she donated plenty of bottled water, feminine hygiene products and diapers to an orphanage. She also performed in Ghana which made this her first time ever being in Africa.
