Normani Joins Urban Decay for First Major Makeup Campaign

Normani tapped in as the new Urban Decay Global Citizen‘s campaign spokesperson. The 24-year-old singer joined as an advocate that break barriers for minorities in the beauty industry. Urban Decay announced the addition of three women to its Global Citizens roster, including songwriter G.E.M. and actress Camila Mendes

Normani claims, ” I am proud to join Urban Decay as their newest Global Citizen. They have trail-blazed and challenged the industry’s definition of beauty since the beginning. They stand with marginalized groups by showing that makeup should be and can be inclusive for everyone. We need to celebrate beauty in every color. We need representation across the beauty industry and I hope to use my platform to amplify the voices of my community. 🤍🤍🤍”

This is not Urban Decay’s first group of Global Citizens. These ladies joins Karol G., Lizzo, CL, Ezra Miller, and Joey King. These celebrities represents individuality and being different in their own skin. Normani is nt stranger to this concept. “I want to amplify Black stories to help dismantle systemic racism,” Normani told Elle in an interview. “I wholeheartedly believe that through this collaboration, I have a real opportunity and obligation to the black community not only to lift my voice but all of theirs through this mission and journey to have more representation and justice inside and out of the beauty industry.”

This campaign was also accompanied with Naked Ultraviolet Eyeshadow Palette. The purple gradient palette showcase 12 pigmented mattes, metallics, and holographic shimmers. “Experimenting this futuristic lineup of peachy neutrals, trippy lilacs, magnetic violets, and blacklight purples may result in endless looks.
