So as you were going about your life one day you had an idea. You thought about a talent that you are really good at and you want to share that with the world. You took the time to perfect your craft and now you feel like you are ready. You take a leap of faith and start your own small business, Congratulations! You have the passion to be your own boss and do what you love. Now what?

            Being an entrepreneur is not an easy task especially when you are young. There is a work life balance that needs to be mastered for you to reach your full potential. That requires major sacrifice in different aspects of your life. Family, friends and relationships will take a backseat as you are on your journey to success. You are the only one who can determine what is most important because there is only so much time in the day. Take the time everyday, week, or month to plan out your schedule to get the most out of your time. All though hard work is important it is as equally important to spend time doing what you love with the people you love. Basing your entire life around your business leaves potential for you to have no self-identity. The key word here is balance and with balance you learn to love yourself. You become a better version of yourself and that results in your business thriving because you will always put your best foot forward.

            You have now developed the idea for your business, you have learned how to balance yourself, and now you have to determine how will you maintain your business. As you progress through the different stages of your business you will find that it can fluctuate depending on the time of year. Sometimes business will be booming and you wont even have a second to yourself to use the restroom. Other times it’s a down season and that gives you time to create plans and goals for the future. Your time is the most important thing so you want to execute when you can to get the most out of your time. Shift your ideas and cater to the needs of your business when times change. You will find what works best for you, your staff and the success of your business. May all the odds be in your favor!
