Pete Davidson credits Ariana Grande for making him “famous.” The Saturday Night Live comedian sat down with Sean Evans for First We Feast’s Hot Ones, where he ate some spicy wings and spoke about his relationship with the “7 Rings” singer and how she enhanced his career. “It’s really annoying because I live in Staten Island and they come there now ’cause, like, Ariana Grande made me all famous and stuff, so it’s all her fault,” he said jokingly. “It is! She sent the wolves to me. She made me and created me, or whatever they say.”
In May 2018, Davidson and Grande went public with their relationship and even got engaged in June of the same year. However, the engagement ended in October. Last month, Davidson explained to Charlamagne Tha God how he knew his relationship with Grande was over. The death of rapper Mac Miller really had an impact on their engagement. “I was like, ‘Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here,’” Davidson remembered how he supported Grande as she grieved over her ex-boyfriend. “I think I said, ‘I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here.'”
