Michigan police are conducting an investigation into funds stolen prior to the death of singer Aretha Franklin, according to documents obtained by various media outlets.
Law enforcement sources close to the investigation say that someone has be inappropriately using funds of the late singer which police have been looking into as far back as last June. While the probe is still in progress it is unclear how much money is missing at this point in time or who may be the culprit in this criminal activity.
This issue surrounding her finances is nothing new. Since her death in August of last year, her finances have been up for discussion with unpaid taxes and legal bills pilling up to which her estate is now responsible. Hopefully, these financial issues will be resolved by the state soon so that The Queen of Soul can rest in peace.
