With over 20 years in the game, GRAMMY Award nominated singer and songwriter Kem is back with his 5th studio album Love Always Wins.
After taking a six year hiatus, Kem returned with his single “Lie To Me” which hit #1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Song Chart for six weeks. “It’s humbling, it’s gratifying to have a #1 record ‘Lie To Me’ after 6 years is a…relief. It’s still working, so it’s good.” KEM tells us in an exclusive interview. “I feel really good about it, were excited about this new music and this season of music that were in.”
His new album Love Always Wins is jam packed with positive vibes, grooves, and a strong message. “After the combination of six years, you know being away musically and looking at the changes that I have made professionally and personally and then looking at this season that were living in is as a country as a culture as a community and everything thats going on; the message that I wanted to send out in the world, really send out to the world really is to not give up on love.”
Over the years Kem had his own battles within, and it was love that showed him the way. “Even in the worst periods of my life, the darkest moments of my life, love was there holding me up, and pulling me through.”
The album Love Always Wins will be available on all streaming platforms on Friday, August 26th.
