The REVOLT Summit x AT&T 3-day culture fest was this past weekend and it always brings out the heavy hitters and big names. This year of course was no exception. On day one of the Summit it kicked off with the Be Heard Auditions, Level Up Career Fair, performances from Lil Yachty and the City Girls and a stand up comedy show featuring The 85 South Show.
To wrap up day one of the Summit, 85 South Show did a half an hour stand up set. They told jokes, got everyone loose and got the crowd interacting by calling up singers, rappers or anyone with a special talent in the audience. The then stand up comedy show turned into an audience led karaoke night.
After the show, JaGurl TV Founder Ravin Williams caught up with 1/3 member of the 85 South Show, DC Young Fly to reflect on the rise of his career, and what is next to come . DC talks being at the REVOLT Summit and whats next for himself and the 85 South Show.
“It’s all peace and love. We staying working and staying positive. REVOLT has always been family so we are always going to stay in contact and stay working.” DC tells JaGurl TV. One thing is for certain, its definitely obvious that his hard work is paying off.
After joining Season 7 of Wild N’ Out in 2011, DC Young Fly has truly been putting on for his city (Atlanta Ga). From becoming one of the main host on the reboot of MTV show TRL (from 2017 to 2018), to filming movies like How High 2 (2019), Almost Christmas (2016) and more.
DC was sure to fill us in to ensure, more is to come. “We got more tours, more tv shows, we have the 85 south channel on YouTube.com, more live shows. We steady producing and ain’t nothing stop”. When asking DC about his career and all that he has accomplished; DC made it clear that he is here to stay, “There is no end goal, just being perpetual. Everything is going to last forever, everything you see me do lasts forever”.
You can catch DC Young Fly along side Karlous Miller and Chico Bean on the 85 South Show Comedy tour coming to a city near you.
