Ruff Ryders Chronicles Docu-Series Will Premiere on BET

During the 2020 virtual BET Awards, the network announced a 5-part docu-series depicting the rise of one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic groups, the Ruff Ryders.

The group was founded in the late ’90s by Joaquin, Darin, and Chivon Dean.

The Ruff Ryder’s roster included some of the most legendary names in hip hop such as DMX, The Lox (Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch) Eve and Swizz Beatz.

According to the Source, Beatz, who is the nephew of the label’s founders, was “behind the boards” on numerous of Ruff Ryder legendary hits.

In a recent interview with the Talk, RR’s first lady, Eve discusses her excitement involving the series premiere.

“I am so excited for people to see it, because even while I was doing my interviews, it took me back to a certain time…” Eve says. “And people remember that time, Ruff Ryders is, was, and will remain to be, it just had such an impact on Hip Hop music, it had such an impact on culture.”

The “Ruff Ryders Chronicles” is set to premiere on Sept. 2nd.
