In a time were businesses are closed, and artist are not able to perform at shows during the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are out of work. Singer/songwriter H.E.R. took it a step furthering in making sure her team and staff were well taken care of. .
On Monday, April 7, 2020, H.E.R. personal security guard, Barry, took to Instagram to announce the blessing that the GRAMMY award winning singer gave to her team, money while they are out of work. “During a time where all artist, their band, mangers, and staff are being impacted significantly by COVID-19, she chose to bless ALL of us, in a surprisingly positive way with several thousands of dollars.” Barry said in his caption on Instagram.
She not only paid her personal security guard, but she also cashed out to her management team, background singers, techniques, and band members. H.E.R. is amongst many artist who had to cancel shows and appearances due to COVID-19. Even with the cancelations, H.E.R. still made she her staff and team were able to survive during this pandemic.
