You may think that Tangeray Major is just another rap star, but he’s very clear on the fact that he is not a rapper. Yasmin Dewayne Springs, also known as Tang, Tango or just Tangeray, is the Founder and CEO of Major Paper Entertainment. He is a businessman who just so happens to be a skillful rap artist. Born September 7th, 1980 in Chattanooga Tennesse, Tangeray Major was inspired by the likes of Russell Simmons, Master P and Birdman. Tangeray created Major Paper to be a one stop shop for all things entertainment. Major Paper has its own recording studio, signs and develops artists, includes music distribution, filming, graphic design and a clothing line. Phase one of the company is to establish himself as a prominent figure on the hip hop scene and to rebrand the clothing line along with other merchandise.
Tangeray started rapping in 2017 developing his Trap Music and Hip Hop sound. He released his single, “Savage” featuring YFN Lucci on March 18th, 2019 making phase one appear to be running right on track. The two met during the 2019 Super Bowl weekend and ended up in the studio and shooting a video a few days later. When asked what other artists he would like to collab with in the near future, Tangeray says, “Cardi B, Beyoncè and any artist that is grinding, serious about their business and been through the experiences that they sing or rap about.”
The official name of the Tennessee native’s upcoming mixtape has not been officially decided. However, Tangeray told JaGurl TV “I think it’s going to be called ‘I’m Not A Rapper Volume One’. So, you know you might get you a volume two out the deal cause everything on here going to be fire.”
Fans can cop the mixtape sometime in September where it will be available on all major platforms including his own site majorpaperonline.com and tangeraymajor.com .
